MySQL/PHP Engineer

Team Objective is looking for an experienced, extremely smart database and web engineer who wants to help lead a new project. We’re a small team with a bunch of nifty ideas, and the support to get them done. This is your opportunity to work in a start-up environment and build a really, really cool gaming-related site. You’ll be an integral part of the project, working with development, testing, operations, marketing & sales teams on a daily basis. Why work on databases for managing HR or financial services when you can do it for games? Plus, you get to join our office LAN parties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help implement a new web content site, integrating with our existing database architecture and entirely new designs
• Develop web-based applications for a variety of new projects
• Oversee and maintain a database environment for some of Team Objective’s gaming sites
• Help guarantee 24/7 availability & data reliability

QUALIFICATIONS:

• You must love videogames!
• Excellent MySQL skills are a must
• Expert PHP skills are a must
• Ability to quickly learn existing systems, and then extend them
• Experience designing for extreme user loads (Team Objective has 1,000+ members)
• Able to work hand-in-hand with engineers and non-engineers alike
• You solve problems. You love puzzles, tests, and challenges. You get them solved quickly and elegantly.

• Manage the ad creation process for various Team Objective promotional campaigns
• Enter and manage advertising campaign in the Team Objective ad system
• Managing and forecasting Team Objective ad inventory
• Manage relationship with sales ad operations
• Monitoring and reporting on progress of live campaigns
• Preparing campaign reports.
